Government and Agency Offices

State Bar of California.   Useful information for both lawyers and clients.

California Secretary of State.  A variety of information about the services and functions provided by the Secretary of State.  Particularly useful is the Business Service Center which provides general answers and forms for, and allows access to information about, corporations, limited partnerships, limited liability companies and other business entities, and can be used to order copies of documents about such entities.

State of California Home Page.  A useful resource for information about state government, with an ability to search for specific topics. Particularly helpful is the Index to State Agencies.

Information Resources

Martindale-Hubbell® Law Directories.  The preeminent national guide to attorneys.

FindLaw™.  An excellent resource for nationwide information about courts and laws. If it’s law related and you can’t find it here, it probably doesn’t exist. For California specific resources, go to FindLaw™ California.

Take a virtual walk through the Library of Congress.  Conduct on-line research using the Library's Online Catalog, view current Exhibitions, check out America's Story, learn about Today in History, and much more.  One of the most interesting government sites around.

"I sometimes wish that people would put a little more emphasis on the observance of the law than they do upon its enforcement."

Calvin Coolidge
